About the hotel
Hotel de Sterrenberg is located a short distance away from the beautiful Hoge National Park in Otterlo, The Netherlands. It is focused on relaxation and serenity, however, lately had been stressed due to their property management system. In the need of change, the hotel was looking for a reliable solution to simplify their daily routine.
The road to Amadeus IDPMS
The hotel had successfully collaborated with Amadeus in the past, however, with all of the new hotel software coming out, the hotel decided to try one of the new systems in the market. After the implementation, instead of moving forward, the hotel was experiencing a lot of issues:“With our old system, there were many simple issues that were causing a lot of trouble and it felt like they didn’t understand the way hotels are run,”says the Director Liset Huisman-Bom. This urged them to discover the new Amadeus IDPMS.
The requirements and solutions
The hotel’s requirements for the system seemed simple enough: functionality, speed and stability. This sounds like something mandatory for every system, however, often gets forgotten. Upgrading to IDPMS immediately improved their overall experience, as even the most basic tasks had become a burden. “IDPMS has proven its stability and knowledge. If you look into other hospitality management systems, they’re really just starting, so we wanted something more experienced,” says Huisman-Bom about his choice.
Amadeus IDPMS is easy to use and extremely intuitive. With the modern interface and streamlined processes it takes minimal training time to start working with the system. When asked what the best thing about IDPMS is, Huisman-Bom had this to say, “I think the best thing is speed. Now we have speed and efficiency on our side so we have time for our guests and we are not as stressed anymore!”
