Last week, Lightspeed hosted its annual Partner Summit 2018 in the Netherlands. Progressive was honoured to have joined the event. Aside from the exciting program with the special guests and presentations, there were also some exciting surprises at the event.

Last week, Progressive went all the way to The Netherlands for the Partner Summit, to learn and explore more about the point of sale system Lightspeed. The partner summit is an annual event for all of the partners of Lightspeed in the world, and we were proud to be one of them.
At the event, Lightspeed reflected at the time gone by and gave an exclusive insight about what they’re most thrilled to look forward to. “Aside from reviewing the past year in terms of qualitative and quantitative performance, it was extremely inspiring and exciting to learn about the cutting edge developments taking place in the Lightspeed world and what is coming our way in the coming months,” says Alex Grima, the founder and director of Progressive.
One of the most interesting news for the company, was, that the point of sale system is focused a lot to improve in the hospitality industry. It aims to exceed its limits from only serving the hotel guests at the restaurant, but to also serve the guests directly to their rooms, with their payment preferences. For example, all of the room service receipts will be available for you digitally.
After the presentations and discussions, we joined Lightspeed for an award ceremony dinner, where Progressive was surprised to receive the “Top seller partner in Europe and Asia” award. We were beyond grateful and took the opportunity to thank our loyal clients, which use Lightspeed in their daily lives.
Progressive was also announced as the “Platinum Partner” for Lightspeed, as more and more restaurants in Malta choose to use this system as their POS software.
