Our clients have managed to stay ice-cool this summer with our cutting-edge retail and restaurant management software, which lets them manage every aspect of their business without breaking a sweat. Perhaps none did it as literally as No. 16 Gelato and More; our latest entry in the list of satisfied users of Lightspeed solutions.

No. 16 is an ice cream shop and cafeteria in Merchants Street, Valletta, which crafts delicious creations using original recipes to help tourists and locals alike to cool off while strolling down the second most famous street in Malta’s world-heritage capital city. This particular client opted for a Lightspeed Restaurant setup due to its flexibility, ease of use, and universal access to timely reports thanks to its cloud-based infrastructure.

The Lightspeed series of solutions for hospitality and retail continues to go from strength to strength as its developers prepare to roll out a slew of updates in the coming weeks.

Many Lightspeed Restaurant users have already experienced the beta version of Lightspeed Ordering, which is a custom-branded platform that lets customers order and pay for their meal ahead of time, allowing them to save time and skip the line.

On the other hand, Lightspeed Retail users now have a simple method to set up their presence on Google through the newly integrated Google My Business service, which allows them to quickly add contact info, store hours, location and photos to their public profile. The developers have managed to expedite the approval process for GMB from the usual four weeks down to only three days.

There are more exciting changes in the pipeline for the Retail solution, giving merchants access to new products that offer them greater control over their business. The Analytics Core is a streamlined version of the Lightspeed Analytics reports module designed to help users grow their Lightspeed at the pace of their business.

Lightspeed Hub is an application that is easy to set up and provides more reliable connectivity for Epson and Star printers, reducing customer dependence on support for printing issues and setup.

Multi-store Omni is one of Lightspeed’s key initiatives that aim to make operating a multi-location store more efficient. Stay on the lookout for new features, including a dedicated webpage where merchants can list and show information on multiple store locations.

Finally, Quantity-On-Hand is a soon-to-be-released module which displays product inventory per location. This application will make it easier for shoppers to find the nearest store location and also see if products are available in a particular store.
